History Of Tajikistan

Tajikistan’s history, from the Persian Samanid Dynasty to Russian control during the “Great Game,” has shaped its rich cultural heritage. By the 15th century, Tajiks were under the Emirate of Bukhara, and later became a Soviet republic in 1929. Gaining independence in 1991, Tajikistan overcame civil unrest in the 1990s. Today, the country’s breathtaking landscapes and blend of cultures make it a perfect destination for trekking enthusiasts. Trekking routes pass through ancient villages, offering glimpses of traditional Tajik life. Along the way, you’ll explore historical sites and experience the lasting influence of Tajikistan’s vibrant history.
