Hit the roof of the Fann Mountains
This long route through the Chimtarga pass combines with some of the most beautiful places in the Fann Mountains with the identification of passes and cultural attractions in rarely visited spots. It’s a physically, technically and very warm summer months, a challenging hike that richly rewards those who overcome it.
The route starts in Dushanbe or Samarkand, and the next day we start our trip to the Fann Mountains by climbing to the Chukurak mountain lake. Then we pass through the pass of the same name and are reminded to one of the Kulikon lakes – Bibidzhanat. The next day we storm the Alaudin pass, 3800 m, from which you can see the most beautiful lake Dushara. Further we are waiting for the amazing lake Piala, a lake of muddy water, which has an extensive blue color, and the main local peak Chimtarga with a height of 5489 m.
Following the route in the Fann Mountains is the Chimtarga pass, which has a very high camp.
The highlight of the trek is the Chimtarga pass at 4750 meters high, which is the highest point in the Fann Mountains that can be crossed without personal equipment.
