About us

Hi! My name is Muhammedi, but everyone calls me Bobo. I was born in the Zerafshan Valley, in Panjakent city. I grew up in the tourism world, thanks to my father’s guesthouse in Artuch village, which is surrounded by stunning locations like the Fann Mountains, Yagnob Valley, and Seven Lakes. Now, I manage the family business and speak five languages: Tajik, English, French, Russian, and Persian.

Over the years, my love for tourism has grown as I’ve met people from all over the world and learned about their cultures. I’ve gaied a lot of experience arranging customized tours and treks throughout Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. I’ve done it all—from guiding, driving, and interpreting to carrying bags—so I understand tourism inside and out.

Our company has 11 years of experience, and we tailor each trip to suit your preferences, from full-service packages with accommodation and equipment to simpler options. Whether you want to explore ancient Panjakent, climb Chimtarga Peak, or visit the majestic Iskanderkul Lake, we can create a memorable adventure just for you.

I aim to make every trip unique and unforgettable. Our team is dedicated to ensuring you enjoy every moment of your journey in Central Asia. Let us help you discover why Tajikistan is called the “Paradise of the Earth.”

If you are kind of person, who leaves the house to go for long trips to places where few have visited, kind of those who love to challenge themselves remaining alone with the wildlife, who like to walk tens of miles on foot and sleep close to the stars, then our Trekking tours are created just for you.

TREKKING IN TAJIKISTAN

About ninety percent of the territory of Tajikistan is guarded by high hills and mountains; and one hundred peaks of the Fann Mountains soar to a breathtaking height of 5000 meters, flaunting their irresistible beauty. Whether you are an adventurous, honeymooner, hiker or backpacker, this Tajikistan trekking tour will literally take your breath away. Unlike most mountain ranges in Central Asia, Phan exhibits a unique combination of barren and verdant landscapes. Among the high mountains you will find traditional villages and picturesque green meadows, turquoise lakes, murmuring rivers and picturesque valleys. Tajikistan is a paradise for mountain lovers, and since the Fan Range is only a few hours drive from the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, you can combine a hike with an exciting cultural experience.

Thank you for traveling with us and sharing your photos with us!

HIKING IN THE PAMIRS OR THE FAN MOUNTAINS?

The Pamir Mountains are the geographical peaks of Tajikistan, and the world-famous Pamir Highway passes through them, with an average height of just under 4,000 meters. Although dramatic, the Pamirs are largely barren, less accessible, and because of the high-altitude trekking – and any other type of physical activity – much more demanding on your body. You may need time to acclimatize and need a jeep to get between hikes.

The ecosystem of the Fann Mountains comes with its own character regarding vegetation and wildlife. The high mountain crests in the area form natural barriers that allowed for a unique biodiversity to develop.

Juniper trees are most characteristic for the Fann Mountains and abound along rivers in the low-lying green valleys. Above 3000 meters, vegetation becomes more scarce and the landscape is characterized by grasslands and barren rock slopes.

Animal life is diverse, although the bigger wildlife is somewhat rare to encounter. Brown bears can occasionally be spotted, for example along the shores of Iskanderkul.

WHERE TO START YOUR TOUR TO THE FAN MOUNTAINS?

Dushanbe, the capital and largest city of Tajikistan, is the ideal starting point for a tour of the Fann Mountains. Dushanbe means “Monday” in Farsi, and Farsi and Tajik are closely related to each other as Persian languages. Dushanbe became the capital of Tajikistan in 1924 and was called Stalinabad for most of the Soviet period. You can see Soviet influence in many of Dushanbe’s impressive public buildings, including the classic opera house and museums. It is a green and pleasant city – much more pleasant than other Central Asian capitals – and has a wealth of historical monuments and tourist attractions that draw visitors.

HOW TO GET TO THE FAN MOUNTAINS FROM DUSHANBE

To get to the Fann Mountains, you need to drive through the suburbs of Dushanbe, leaving for farmland beyond. The newly constructed Anzob tunnel cuts through the side of the mountain, but when you finally emerge, blinking into the light, you are in the beauty of the Zarafshan Valley. Travelers have traveled this route for centuries: the Zeravshan Valley was the main trade route on the Silk Road, and its name means “Gold Sprayer”, a testament to the value of the goods traded here. This magnificent valley, with pleasant climate conditions all year round, boasts of being one of the oldest continuously inhabited places on earth.

LEGENDS OF SEVEN LAKES

There is no doubt that the beauty of the Seven Lakes, like the seven sisters, is mesmerizing. But these are just picturesque steps to Iskander-Kul, a stunning turquoise lake that takes tourists back to the time of Alexander the Great. Narrators in the Fann Mountains tell a legend that the favorite horse of Alexander the Great, Bucephalus, died during a campaign and was buried here in the lake. Local shepherds swear that on a full moon you will see his ghostly presence rise from the water and come ashore to graze. Whether you see it with your own eyes or not is, of course, a matter of time and luck, but in any case, there are few pleasures in life more than walking across the pass to Iskander-Kul, parking on the shore and refreshing yourself in the lake.
