Fann Mountains Kulikalon trek
Checkpoint. Dzharteppa – Penjikent – Artuch
Breakfast. Transfer to the border crossing Jarteppa. Crossing the checkpoint will take no more than 30-40 minutes. Visit to one of the main attractions of the city of Penjikent, which is included in the UNESCO heritage list – the Settlement of Sarazm (5500 l. (Pompeii of Central Asia), the central market. Lunch at a restaurant. Transfer to the guest house or climbing base “Artuch”, located at an altitude of 2200 m, High in the heart of the Fann Mountains Accommodation in the rooms of the mountain camp Dinner Overnight in the cottages.
Alpine camp “Artuch” – Kulikalon lakes (7 km, 5 hours).
On a good path, which runs along the scree slope of the western tip of the Kulikalon basin, we climb to the Kulikalon lakes. Gradually, three peaks open up to the eye – Adamtash (4579 m), Mirali (5106 m) and Maria (4790 m) – which crown the famous Kulikalon rock wall. Under it is a whole necklace of lakes of the same name, amazing in their beauty. On the shore of one of them, Lake Bibidzhanat, in a green meadow, our camp is located. Travel time: 5 hours; elevation difference: +642 m.
